The Service Dogs Act, which came into effect on January 1, 2009, permits Albertans with disabilities who are accompanied by qualified service dogs to access all public places in the province. Government of Alberta identification cards are now available to service dog teams as verification that they are qualified for the purposes of the Act.For more information please visit www.seniors.alberta.ca/ServiceDogs
